Ground-breaking ceremony for new production plant

Expansion of production facility in Bürs (Austria)

Schaan, Liechtenstein – 3 April 2013

In the presence of state and local government officials, Ivoclar Vivadent officially broke ground today for a new production plant at its premises in Bürs, Austria. Due to the increase in production capacity, 30 additional jobs will be created. The investment amounts to around five million euros.

Growing demand on a worldwide scale for dental products manufactured by Ivoclar Vivadent was cited as the reason for the expansion of the production facility. “Sales of dental equipment, for example, have tripled in the past ten years. We are therefore increasing our production capacity,“ said Dipl.-Ing. Wolfgang Vogrin, Chief Production Officer of Ivoclar Vivadent AG.

New three-storey building
With the expansion of the production facility in Bürs, 4,250 square metres of floor space will be added. The new building will provide additional room for manufacturing operations, logistics, goods management and customer services on three floors. “The expansion of the facility will allow us to employ 30 additional staff in Bürs,“ explained Siegbert Koch, Managing Director of Ivoclar Vivadent Bürs. The new building is expected to be completed by December 2013.

Ground-breaking ceremony attended by state and local political leaders
Ground was symbolically broken in the presence of state and local political leaders. Karlheinz Rüdisser, Deputy State Governor of Vorarlberg, Helmut Zimmermann, mayor of Bürs, as well as Wolfgang Vogrin and Siegbert Koch of Ivoclar Vivadent were present at the ceremony.
